CMC Markets is proud to be involved in establishing the Australian CFD Forum.

The Forum is being established by Australia’s leading CFD providers to raise the standards of the Australian CFD industry, and improve customer understanding and perception of CFDs.

The establishment of a cohesive group for the CFD industry is a significant step forward in improving the perception and understanding of CFDs in Australia. Once established, the Forum will be a voice for Australia’s CFD industry, working to continuously improve industry standards, and address industry issues and investor concerns that are not covered by legislation.

The Forum aims to formalise 16 best practice Standards that foster self-regulation and go over and above existing regulations for the CFD industry. The Standards address customer protection and risk management, treatment of customers, business continuity, and segregation and protection of client money.
