Advanced charts
Our customisable charts are bright, beautiful and clear, and come with a full range of technical studies and overlays, as well as drawing tools and more.
All popularly requested chart types are available, including line, candle, Open High Low Close (OHLC) and spread charts. Using different chart types can help you to spot significant high and low price levels, plus you can monitor the consistency of our spreads. We’re confident in our consistently competitive pricing.
Customisable
All charts are preset as 5-minute line charts when you first log in to your account. We understand though that you might prefer a different setup, so we allow you to set your unique chart preferences as default. Simply organise any chart the way you would like. For example, you can specify a 1-day candlestick chart with MACD and a 21-day Simple Moving Average, then click ‘set as default’ within the chart options. Now each time you load a new chart on any product it will appear the way you want it.
You can even save a number of preferred chart layouts, known as presets, within the chart options.
Overlays
Choose from over 20 technical overlays, including Moving Averages, Bollinger Bands, Pivot Points, Ichi Moku Clouds and Parabolic SAR. Technical overlays appear directly over the chart history and can help you find potential support and resistance levels, which you might want to use to set your stop losses. Please note that your specified target price may not be guaranteed due to market conditions.
Technical studies
You can use more than 45 technical studies, including MACD, RSI, DMI and Stochastics. Our technical studies show up big, bright and bold on your charts and can help you identify price momentum and overbought/oversold scenarios.
In-built technical indicator walkthroughs
With over 80 different technical indicators available, even an experienced active trader might find it difficult to interpret the different buy and sell signals for all of them. Our global team of experienced technical analysts have created detailed walkthroughs that explain all of the different signals with worked examples on how best to use them, and when not to rely on them.
All of this invaluable information is available directly on our web platform and can be accessed in the specific technical indicators settings window. This service is also available for all drawing tools and certain chart types.

Drawing tools
Draw your own trendlines, support and resistance lines, channels, Fibonacci retracements and much more. Those in the know use drawing tools to spot trends, patterns and strategically important price levels.
You can also use a range of drawing tools within the studies section of the charts for further analysis of technical patterns. You can draw support and resistance lines, trendlines, channels, arrows, buy and sell icons and more.

Multiple timeframes and intervals
Choose charts by timeframe, interval or date range. Our charts contain up to five years of historical data for each product. This lets you focus on specific historical events to analyse their impact.
Comparison Charts
In order to compare the price history for a number of products it is possible to drag and drop any product, from a watchlist or the product library, directly into the price action area of a chart you already have open,. This makes it possible to see in one chart how different products move relative to each other such as Crude Oil West Texas and Crude Oil Brent. You can also find products with similar performance or opposite performance more easily, depending on what your trading requirements are.

Any overlays displayed on the original product will disappear when you add another product to the chart. However, any studies and drawing tools will remain in the chart window. The price axis on the right of the chart will change to a percentage scale and the product name that you have added to the chart will appear in the top-left of the chart. From here you can customise the appearance of that product line or delete it. When you delete the products you are comparing, any overlays you previously had open on the main chart will reappear.
Chart Extensions – 30, 60 and 90 intervals
You can extend the timeframe on a chart into the future by 30, 60 or 90 intervals (through advanced settings). This allows you to use drawing tools and certain technicals, like Ichi Moko clouds, more effectively as there is now a visible area within the chart showing dates or times in the future. This feature also improves our pattern recognition software as the price projection box for recently completed patterns is now fully visible.

Extended pivot points
Pivot points are one of the more popular technical tools used by numerous traders. In response to client feedback we have updated this tool to offer additional market insight. Two new features have been added, you can now choose any pivot point interval and you can view pivot points over the last 150 intervals to test historical success.
