Commissions Update

To improve transparency in respect of our Commission, we will now charge Commission separately from our Spread. Details of any Commission charges, as applicable, will be shown in the Product Library for each Product.

If Commission applies to the execution of an Order (whether to open or close a Transaction), the appropriate amount will be deducted from the Cash in your Account upon execution of the Order or Transaction. You are required to monitor your Account to ensure you have sufficient Cash to pay any Commission due in full.

The following FAQs have been provided for your convenience.

Commission FAQs

How can I find out what the commission charges will be for a particular CFD?

The commission charges can be found on the factsheets of each product, in the overview section:

"How can I find out the commission"

Will the commission be charged on my open Company CFD positions?

The commissions have always been a part of our Company CFD offering, but they are no longer priced as a part of the spread. All Company CFD trades, whether they are in relation to existing or new positions will be subject to the new commission structure.

Now that the spreads will be tighter, how will this affect any pending orders I have in the system?

Pending orders will not be amended by us. You may wish to review your pending orders, as the spread will now be tighter, to ensure that they are placed at levels you are comfortable with.

How do I calculate if I will be charged a percentage or the minimum charge?

The new commission structure can be calculated by multiplying the total trade value by the commission percentage. If this is below the minimum charge then your trade will be subject to the minimum charge, if it is above the minimum charge then your trade will be subject to the percentage charge.
Simple Example:
500 BHP Contracts @ $30 = $15,000 total trade size
$15,000 * 0.09% = $13.50
Commission = $13.50

250 BHP Contracts @ $30 = $7,500 total trade size
$7,500 * 0.09% = $6.75 Commission = $7 (minimum)

How does this affect US Company CFDs?

The commission structure for US Company CFDs will be USD 0.02c per contract with a minimum charge of US$10. The commission charges can be found on the factsheets of each product, in the overview section.

"How does this affect US share CFDs"

Will the tighter spreads be reflected in the charts historically?

Yes, we have updated all historical prices to display as if this structure was always in place.

What currency is the commission charged in?

The commission is calculated in the currency of the product you are trading, and then automatically converted into Australian Dollars before it is applied to your account.

How can I see what the commission has been charged on my executed orders?

The History tab displays the commission that has been applied and is automatically converted into Australian Dollars.
