Open a demo account
Practise CFD trading and get to know our CMC Tracker platform for as long as you like, obligation free. Get a feel for how the markets are moving, how our online platform works, and even test out trading strategies. It only takes around 60 seconds to sign up for our demo account, and there’s nothing to download. All you need is an email address and a password. Apply for a live account
As soon as you’re ready to start trading CFDs for real, you can apply for a live account. Do it online right now, or use your iPhone or iPad.
Opening a live CFD account is quick and easy. You won’t be asked to provide more information than absolutely necessary to process your application and confirm your identity automatically.
We aim to confirm your identity automatically
The online application will try to verify your identity electronically with the details you provide. If successful, you won’t need to provide any further documents and your live CFD account will be opened, ready to fund, almost immediately.

What you will receive when your account is opened
You will receive a welcome email containing your account number and any additional links to help you get started. It will also contain useful information on how to access the CMC Tracker platform, as well as any links that may help you get started more easily.
The login details that you receive will give you access to the CMC Tracker platform via web, iPhone app and iPad app.
Username: Will be the email address you provided on sign-up
Password: Will be the password you provided on sign-up
If you can’t remember your password, use the ‘Forgot password?’ link on the login page, or contact a member of our Customer Management Team for assistance.
Account manager
Once your live CFD account has been successfully opened, an account manager will be assigned to you for your first few weeks of trading to make sure any questions or problems you have are answered. Please note that we do not offer trading tips or investment advice.

Our education team provide webinars, seminars and online learning modules, catering for a range of trading experience as part of our ongoing education program for potential and existing customers. Whether you’re a beginner or already trading CFDs, our education program is intuitively tailored to your level of trading experience.
The CMC Tracker platform gives you a new place to view all product information in one location, including financing level, spreads, trading hours, Dow Jones news and live charting.
Funding your account
There is no minimum deposit required to activate a live account, but you won’t be able to trade or access certain educational resources until you have deposited funds.
You can fund your account either via the CMC Tracker platform 'Transfer' icon or you can call our Customer Management Team on 1300 303 888, who will transfer you to our secure telephone system which will take your payment for you. If you are funding via the CMC Tracker platform, you will find the 'Transfer' icon in the lower left navigation pane.
